In the cosmetic industry, it is used as a color pigment to impart blue shades in products such as eye shadows, nail polishes and specialty cosmetics. It is used in some formulations to prevent and treat cobalt deficiency in ruminants by supplying cobalt.

2 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water; it dissolves in mineral acids and in solutions of the alkali hydroxides.

The shelf life is 5 years. Preserve in well closed containers.
